PSYCHOEDUCATION
Student Nurses Association
of FMSON organized a session on "Importance of Mental Health" on 20th
of August 2021 from 1.30- 3.30pm.
The Programme commenced
by invoking God's blessings through a prayer song by students of 2nd year GNM. Ms Sherlin Maria Chettri welcomed the
gathering.
MS Sharon Vas, Campus Counselor,
Student Support Cell, Department of Psychiatry, FMMCH, Mangalore was the resource
person. Ms Merlyn Priya Moras, Assistant
Lecturer introduced the resource person.
Ms Sharon Vas enlightened
the students on mental health and illness, introvert and extrovert personality,
causes of mental illness and signs of identifying mental illness. She also
demonstrated various relaxation techniques.
Ms Alphonsa Joseph 1st year GNM delivered vote of thanks. Appreciation certificate was handed over to Ms Sharon Vas by Ms Mable Gracy Dsouza (SNA Advisor). The programme came to an end at 03.30 pm.
