Simulation Based Training on Implementation of Safe Surgery checklist was
conducted for the Surgical & Anaesthesia department Staff and Post
Graduates as well as the Nursing Staff from all the Operation Theatres (OT’s) in
the Decennial Memorial Hall on the 14th June 2018 from 3:00 pm to
4:00pm. The Programme was coordinated by Dr.Prathvi Shetty along with
Dr.Radhesh Hedge, Dr. Lulu Sherif and Mrs. Mabule Fernandes.
Following
a PPT on the parameters of the Safe
Surgery Checklist, the participants underwent Prebriefing, immersive training
with Surgical Scenarios followed by debriefing.

Surgeons, 52 Post Graduates, 45 Nurses and 7 Technicians attended the session. The
post debriefing simulation session performance showed improvement and the
learners gave a positive feedback for the program.
