Department of Pharmacology and ADR monitoring centre, Father Muller Medical College celebrated National Pharmacovigilance Week 2024. As a part of this, Paragraph writing, Slogan writing and digital poster competitionswere organized. Dr Padmaja Udaykumar, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology was the organizing chairperson and Dr Chandralekha N, Associate Professor and AMC coordinator was the Organizing secretary. We got an immense response from the students, doctors, nurses and pharmacists. The following are the prize winners.

Paragraph writing competition
Topic: Diagnostic relevance in Patient safety

Slogan writing Competition
Topic: Patient awareness on medication safety

This competition was judged by  DrNishitha Shetty, Professor, Dept of Medical Oncology, Dr Jyothi Jayaraman, Associate Professor, Dept of Biochemistry, Dr Pooja M, Assistant Professor, Dept of Pharmacology.
 
E poster competition
Topic: Building ADR reporting culture for the general public
Winners                                           
1^st prize - Nidha Parveen, Kavya Vijay (Pharm D interns)
2^nd prize - Deeksha M, Chethan Kumar (Pharm D interns)
 
This competition was judged by  Dr.Scandashree K , Associate Professor, Dr Mangala S, Associate Professor, Dept of Pharmacology
 
Prize distribution for the same was held on 26.09.2024 at 9 am in Lecture Hall 3, Medical College B block, FMMC.

Dr Padmaja Udaykumar, Professor and Head of Pharmacology department welcomed the gathering. Dr Chandralekha N, Associate Professor, AMC co-ordinator read out the names of the winners.
Rev Fr Ajith B Menezes, Administrator, FMMC,  Dr Antony Sylvan DSouza - Dean FMMC, gave away the cash prizes to the winners. First-prize winners received cash prize of Rs 2,000 and second-prize winners received a cash prize of Rs 1,500. Administrator congratulated the Department of Pharmacology and ADR monitoring centre for organizing these events, winners and participants for taking part in the events
Medical undergraduates, winners, participants & judges of the competitions and faculty of the department of pharmacology  were present. The whole National Pharmacovigilance week 2024 celebration was coordinated by Dr Ashika A G, Jr Pharmacovigilance Associate.

The audience was also sensitized about the importance of reporting ADRs. The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by Dr Chandralekha N

E-certificates were sent to the winners, participants and judges.
