By addressing the gathering Sr. Dhanya Devasia briefly explained about the women empowerment. She said Women's day to pay tribute, show appreciation and express gratitude to women for their immense contribution to the welfare of the family, society, the nation and the world at large. Women are artists for they paint the colours   of righteousness on the undying soul of their children. Women are authors for they write the literature of godliness in the hearts of their children.

All of us, no matter how big or how small, whether male or female we all owe our lives to a woman. Let us recognize and respect the role of women in society. A woman is an emblem of beauty said by Gandhi. Woman is the companion of man, gifted with equal mental capacity. Let us also recall the role that our own mothers have played in our own lives and thank them all for making us what we are today. And reflect on our role for women empowerment.

Rev Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo in his speech said "God created men & women equally with his own likeness & image. They compliment each other. Being a man he should have a motherly qualities and being a woman she also should have a  fatherly qualities.  Appreciated women for their service and also thanked women for their different roles played by them as a mother, daughter, sister, wife  and daughter in law etc. A woman adjusts herself and she loves and cares everyone in the family. We should respect every woman in the society. At the end he concluded saying "Woman you're a woman of God. God created you tender, yet tenacious. God created you humble, yet confident. God created you gracious, yet unmovable".
