"reMOVE 2019"
"reMOVE 2019", a workshop on "Exercises for MSK
Pain Management" was organized by the Department of Surgery on the 10th of
July 2019 for the III BHMS students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical
College, Deralakatte.
Principal Dr Shivaprasad K welcomed the resource team from the
Department of Physiotherapy, Father Muller Medical College Hospital. The
Resource team comprised Ms, Leah Mohandas-team leader, Ms Asmitha Patrao,
Ms Dione Crasta and Ms Raina Quinny as facilitators. A bouquet was offered to
them by the batch representatives Ms Aveena Rose, Ms Cimna Thasneem, Ms
Parvathy Menon and Ms Teenu S respectively.
Dr Hafis Sheriff, Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery
introduced the resource team.
Administrator, Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta honored the resource person
with the mementos as a token of appreciation and addressed the gathering where
he highlighted the importance of a Homoeopath's role to learn various exercises
in order to effectively manage pain.
Ms Leah Mohandas, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiotherapy
gave an introduction to Physiotherapy and briefed about different modes and
methods that are employed to treat traumatic, non-traumatic and sports
injuries.
The second session had demonstration of exercises for relieving
musculoskeletal pain (MSK pain) involving students.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr K John Paul, Associate
Professor & HOD,Department of Surgery followed by the Institution anthem.
Ms Alisha Iqbal compered the programme.
