CHEMICAL FACTORY VISIT
On 3rd September 2019, final year BHMS students of father Muller Homoeopathic medical college ,Deralakatte visited Mangalore chemicals and fertilizers private limited (MCF Pvt Ltd).The students had an interesting session with Mr Roopesh ,Deputy manager of quality control department and Dr K Yogish FMO. They explained about the screening of the workers, raw materials and the end products like urea, sulfonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde (SNF), CPP and related risks, hazards and occupational diseases. The batch was split into two and visited the fire and safety department were the students learned about the fire fighting techniques and at occupational health center. Doctor explained about the different methods of approach in case of ammonia spill, complete body wash and eye wash. Students actively participated in the visit and they learned about occupational health problems and its preventive measures. Dr Sajan K R and Dr Anusha Gautham accompanied the students.
