A Mock Court Trial on Consumer Law was conducted on 4th December 2019 at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Auditorium, Mangalore in association with SDM Law College and Centre for PG Studies and Research in Law, Mangalore to promote greater understanding of and appreciation for the law, court procedures and thus to create an awareness of current legal issues in the medical system for the BHMS students.
A total of 120 students were participated.
Dr Ameer CT, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, FMHMC welcomed the gathering.
Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator, FMHMC&H presided over and addressed on the importance of law and justice.
Dr. Balika Prashanth, Vice-Principal, SDM Law College and Centre for PG Studies and Research in Law coordinated the event. Senior Eminent Professor, Mr Udhay Kumar consented to present the Mock Court Trial and guided their students to conduct the trial. Adv. Varadhraj A and Adv. Raghavendra Rao were the presiding judges for the trial.
The session ended with the review by Perlin Tellis on behalf of all the BHMS students. The Administrator, Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta and Principal, Dr Shivaprasad K distributed the mementos for the presenters.
