Prerana 2020 Intercollegiate  Literary & Creativity Fest and  Health Exhibition organized by Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Deralakatte, was inaugurated by the Chief guest  Shri .U T Khader, MLA Mangaluru constituency, accompanied with Guests of Honour, Dr.Mohammed Iqbal, District AYUSH Officer, Dr. Sr.M.Jeswina, Principal St Agnes College, Mangaluru and Shri Sheena Shetty, District Sanitation Ambassador, Dakshina Kannada along with the President of the function Rev  Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director FMCI, Mangaluru, and Rev Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator FMHMC&H  on 23 Jan 2020, in the college.

 

The Official function began with the Prayer song sung by the Final year (Jr) BHMS students followed with the formal start off by turning on the working models by the dignitaries for the day in the College Auditorium.

 

Dr. Shivaprasad K, Principal, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College introduced the guests and welcomed the gathering, imparting the motivation and high spirit for the conduction of the fest.

 

 On this occassion books authored by Dr.Vilma Meera D’Souza HOD, Dept of Obstetrics and Gynaecology FMHMC and Dr.Rita Chakraborty HOD, Dept of Repertory FMHMC were released by the Chief Guest.

The presidential address was then given by Rev Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho congratulating the Administrator, Rev Fr. Roshan Crasta for the innovative idea of conducting the health exhibition and appreciated for the academic excellence brought to the college in the Rajiv Gandhi University Examinations.

 

Dr. Sr  M. Jeswina Ph.D. Principal, St Agnes College, Mangaluru acknowledged the opportunities for the high school and pre-university students rendered by the College Management and reflected upon the importance of such competitions that are organized for the foundation of values in the life of students.

 

Shri .U T Khader addressed the audience by explaining the need of unbiased medical services that have to be provided to the community. He inspired them to be self-sufficient with all qualities for better communication and responsible in spreading the awareness of Homoeopathy in the society.

 

Shri.Sheena Shetty gave insight to be knowledgeable about the basic necessities of life which include sanitation that would aid in promoting health and encouraged to evolve with similar ideas for a better future.

 

 

Dr.Deepa Pais, Convener of the Prerana 2020 proposed the vote of thanks.

 

The function concluded with the Institution Anthem.
