Career Guidance Programme FIRST STEP - On 31.07. 2020

Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College with its ineffaceable history of 35 years of its meaningful existence in Mangalore organized Vision-series 2020

As a part of this series the college successfully completed Re Vision, a crash course for Post graduate aspirants and Pro-Vision, a webinar series for the homoeopathic fraternity.

The college took up yet another programme Envision 2020 an unique programme of the vision series Empowering amateurs to ace professionals and as a part of this program the college ventured into another step of innovation by launching the 'FIRST STEP' a career guidance programme with the tagline 'a right step today for a bright leap tomorrow', an exclusive programme designed to cater to the needs of PU students of the science commerce and arts stream to guide them  regarding their future and career.

This programme included a panel discussion headed by Dr Norbert lobo, Director, Admin Block & Associate Professor of Economics, St Aloysius College, Mangalore.

The other panelists on the board were Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator, FMHMCH, Prof. Dr Shivaprasad K, Principal, FMHMC and Dr G. Rajachandra, Associate Professor, Department of Practice of Medicine, FMHMC.

Career guidance is the counsel given to students to help them acquire the knowledge and information, necessary to identify career options, and narrow them down to make one career decision. This crucial decision then results in their social, financial and emotional well-being throughout.

The free online guidance was hosted on Zoom platform and live-streamed via Youtube on 31.07.2020 (Friday) from 5.00 to 7.00 pm for all the young scholars aspiring to select professional courses to build up their bright future. Parents, teachers and guardians were also a part of this programme.

Dr Deepa Pais in charge of the programme welcomed the gathering, introduced the resource person and proposed the vote of thanks.
