INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY - 2021
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College in association with Father Muller College of
Nursing, Women Cell and AYUSH Unit, observed International Women's day on
08.03.2021 at 10.15 am in Community Urban Health Centre, Ullal.
The programme began with the prayer song followed by the
welcome address. Mrs. Flavia, PBBSc
nursing student welcomed the gathering with the floral bouquet which was
followed with lighting of the Lamp. Mrs. Jyothi Kumari Ulipady, District Health
Education Officer, Mangalore was the Chief Guest. She stressed on women
empowerment, their rights and protection. Rotarian
Nandini Ravichandra, President, Office bearers of Rotary Club South Zone
and Mrs. Chitrakala, President, City
Corporation Ulllal witnessed the programme. Dr Sahan Panduranga, Medical Officer AYUSH unit proposed the vote
of thanks.
Mrs. Sunitha, from College of Nursing delivered
a talk on "Adolescent Nutrition and
Management" and Ms. Manasa, Intern
from Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College delivered a talk on "Importance of Investigations &
Preventive tips of Reproductive cancers". Following the awareness talks, a
free medical health camp was organized. Dr.
Vilma Dsouza, Professor & HOD, Department of OBG, highlighted the objective
of the camp and also briefed on the special investigations at concessional
rates performed in Father Muller Hospital Kankanady and Deralakatte, from March
8th to 31st March 2021.
The beneficiaries of the program were mothers and adolescent
girls.
