UV SPECTROPHOTOMETER SESSION AT FMRC, KANKANADY
A session on demonstration of UV spectrophotometer was conducted by R&D Committee on 27th March 2021, Saturday in Father Muller Research Centre, Biochemistry lab.
Dr
Shivashankara, the Chief of Biochemistry lab, FMRC, started the session with a theoretical
explanation of U V spectrophotometer's function.It was followed by a practical
session of using UV spectrophotometer by Ms Cleeta, Senior Research Fellow. She gave a demonstration with the Creatinine sample
and the homoeopathic drug, Petroleum 30c.
Dr Shivashankara
also explained the mechanism of other equipment such as high performance liquid
chromatography and ELISA, followed by a Question Answer session.
