Annual Sports Fest
and Athletic meet 2021 was organised on 11.12.2021 at FMHMC grounds, Derlakatte.
The
programme began at 10a.m. Rev Fr. Rohan Michel Dais, Asst. Administrator,
FMHMC was the Chief Guest. Mr G
V Anish, IV BHMS, President of Students' Association, FMHMC extended a warm
welcome to the gathering. Rev Fr Roshan
Crasta, Administrator, Dr E S J
Prabhu Kiran, Principal, Dr Vilma Meera
D'souza, Vice Principal, Dr G Rajachandra,
Sports Coordinator, Mr Vishal, Sports
Secretary and Mr Chennakeshava M G,
Physical Education Instructor were present on the dais.
Fr
Rohan Michel Dais, the Chief Guest formally inaugurated the programme by
hoisting the college flag. In his message he encouraged them to be active and
proactive. he emphasized the importance of sports and extracurricular
activities in building up ones personality.
Rev
Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator, FMHMC, gave his message on the occasion and he
urged the students not to be in the rooms and to stay away from the mobile
phones and to get physically active in sports and games.

Athletic events in Men and Women category were conducted on that day from 07:15
in the morning till 4:30 in the evening.
The
major attraction of the evening was cricket match held between staff 11 and
students 11 which not only created enthusiasm among the players but also among
the audience. Students 11 won the match by a margin of 35 runs.
The
valedictory programme took place at 5p.m. Rev Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator,
FMHMC, honored the prize winners of various sports and athletic events with
mementos and medals. Mr Alen Jinson
was declared Best Athlete Male and Ms Maria Sunny the Best
Athlete Female. The Overall
Championship was bagged by team PHOENIX
and OCTANS remained the Runner up. Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, Principal, Dr G
Rajachandra, Sports Coordinator, Mr. Vishal, Sports Secretary and Mr Chennakeshava
M G, Physical Education Instructor were present during the proceedings.
