Health Survey Campaign at Balepuni Village
Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, has initiated a
milestone in rural health care by inaugurating "Village Health Survey" under the health campaign at Balepuni
Grama Panchayath, Mudipu. as a joint venture in collaboration with District Health
and Family Welfare Society, Dakshina Kannada, Department of AYUSH Dakshina Kannada,
Jana Shikshana Trust, Mudipu and other regional NGO's.
The programme was inaugurated on 09.12.2021 by Dr Kumar, IAS Chief Executive Officer, Dakshina Kannada Zilla
Panchayath. In his inaugural address he highlighted the importance of medical
personnel reaching out to the people for giving information about the health schemes
offered by the Government. Fr Roshan Crasta,
Administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College expressed his
acceptance to work with government authorities and Jana Shikshana trust for the
success of the health survey campaign. Mr
Sheena Shetty, Former sanitation ambassador of Dakshina Kannada, Mr Krishna Moolya, Director of Jana
Shikshana Trust, Mudipu, Mrs Jyothi,
District Health Education Officer, Dakshina Kannada, Mrs Deepa Prabhu, Taluk Health Officer, Dr Sajan K R, Head of Department of Community Medicine, FMHMC, Mr Ramesh Shenava, Senior Entrepreneur and Advisor of Jana Shikshana
Trust were present at the inaugural
ceremony.
On 07.01.2022 and
10.01.2022 Health Survey campaign was
held at Nava Grama and Kukkadakatte ward. 267
families were screened for health parameters like nutritional status, Hemoglobin,
BMI, environmental sanitation and disease prevalence. 97 students of IV BHMS of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical
College actively took part in the survey.
