DYNACON - National Homoeopathic Pharmacy Conference
The First National
Conference, DYNACON organized by the
Department of Homoeopathic Pharmacy in association with Rajiv Gandhi University
of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bengaluru was held at Father Muller Homoeopathic
Medical College on 26th April,
2015. The Conference was formally inaugurated by a prayer song and lighting
of the lamp by the dignitaries, Prof. Dr Munir Ahmed, Director, College
Development CouncilRajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka,
Bengaluru, the Chief Guest, Rev Fr Vincent Vinod Saldanha, Administrator FMHMC,
the President, Dr Shivaprasad, Principal FMHMC, Dr Pravas Kumar Pal, Chairman
and Dr Joseph Thomas, Organizing Secretary.
The Chief Guest Prof. Dr Munir Ahmed, Director, College
Development CouncilRajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka,
Bengaluru gave a short message bringing to light the necessity of such
conference for the integration of all three main system of medicines being
practiced in India and the need for ethnographic study apart from the Randomized
Controlled Trial (RCT).
The theme of the Conference
was "Integrated Approach to Drug
Dynamics".
After the
inauguration, the sessions were taken up by Dr Ramakrishna Sabaraya, Principal &
Director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore, Dr Ravi Rao, Professor, Dean
R&D, Post Graduate Dept of Dravyguna, Alva's Ayurveda Medical College,
Moodabidri and Dr Pravas Kumar Pal, Professor & Head, Dept of Homoepathic
Pharmacy, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Mangalore. The speakers
discussed the Perspective of Drug Dynamics of their system of Medicine
respectively. The last session was taken up by Dr Harikumar G, Retd. Asst.
Director & Superintendent of Leprosy Sanitorium, Govt. of Kerala. Dr Harikumar discussed the various scope for
the integration of different system of medicines namely Allopathy, Ayurveda and
homoeopathy with regard to the Pharmacodynamics in an interesting manner.
During the conference Paper & Poster Competitions were held in the Open Forum. A total of 360 delegates from various parts of the country including 27 participants for the Open Forum attended the conference.
