"Raste Tyajya Vilevari Abiyana" by NSS unit FMHMC.
NSS unit of Father Muller Homoeopathic College took part in "Raste Tyajya
Vilevari Abiyana" organised by Belma Gram Panchayat in association with NSS
unit of FMHMCH, Kanachur institute of Medical Sciences, K S Hegde Medical
Academy, Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore University & Janashikshana
trust on 25th June 2022.
The Program was inaugurated by Mr
U T Khader, MLA of Ullala constuiency at 9.45 a.m at Belma Gram Panchayat premises.
MLA in his message appreciated the role of gram panchayat members and NSS students
of FMHMCH for their time and energy in make the program a success. He also
urged the students to create awareness in general public regarding the bad
effects of plastic waste on the environment.
100 NSS volunteers took part in this program and they were been divided
into 4 groups where the students collected the plastic waste that was been
throwed on either sides of the road. NSS students from FMHMC cleaned the either
sides of the road from FMHMC College entrance to Kanachur institute of Health
Sciences.
NSS unit students displayed the charts to the general public in order to
create awareness on proper disposal of plastic and organic waste. Belma
Panchayat President, PDO-Belma panchayat, Mr Monu President of Kanachur
institute,Mr Sheena Shetty president of Janashikshana trust, Dr Deeraj
Fernandes NSS Program officer were present during the inauguration program.
