World Cancer Day awareness Programme
Cancer Day awareness programme was organized by Departments of Community medicine, Anatomy, Pathology Medicine Unit 1A, Medicine Unit 2A and NSS unit on 04.02.2023 at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical college Deralakatte, Mangaluru. The awareness programme consisted of awareness talks in the OPD, awareness talk at St Sebastian English Medium High School, Thokkottu, exhibition of the cancer specimens and charts, power point presentations in the OPD, Ribbons of different colour coding representing various cancers were distributed to students and to the general public as a part of the Cancer awareness programme. The awareness programme will be continued till 8/02/23.
In the awareness programme
which was held on 4/02/23, 500 students from St Sebastian English Medium High School,
Thokkottu, 560 students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Around
300 OPD patients and their accompanying people were the beneficiaries.

Administrator FMHMC&H, Dr ESJ Prabhu Kiran, Principal, FMHMC, Dr Vilma Meera
Dsouza, Vice-Principal, Dr Girish Navada Medical Superintendent were present
for the awareness programme. Post graduate scholars and the interns and
students actively and enthusiastically participated in the cancer awareness
programme.
