Internation Yoga Day 2023
The Dakshina Kannada District Administration and Department
of AYUSH, Dakshina Kannada in association with the Dakshina Kannada AYUSH
Medical Colleges and other Yoga Associations observed the International Yoga
Day on 21.06.2023 in the Town Hall,
Mangalore.
International Yoga Day was inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada MP
Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA's D Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Bharath Shetty, Mayor Jayananda
Anchan, Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan and other dignitaries.
In connection with this a Jatha was organized from Mangalore
University College to Townhall. 25 N.S.S volunteers of FMHMC participated in
the Jatha.
Yoga Guru Gopalakrishna Delampady led the session.
Students from various institutions, members of Yoga
associations & other enthusiastic public took part in the event.
District Superintendent of Police Rishyanth, District Health
officer Dr Kishore Kumar, District AYUSH Officer Mohammad Iqbal and other officials were present on
this occasion.
