Report on Mock Court Trial
The department of Forensic Medicine
and Toxicology conducts various activities for the better learning. Mock Court
Trial is one among those activities of the department which held on 22.06.2023.
It was well executed by the students of III BHMS. They took the initiative and
presented the proceedings of the court with an excellent demonstration of the
Mr Neeraj Grover v/s State case to enable easy learning of the trial.
In the beginning there was an interaction
with the students of II & IV (Jr.) BHMS through question and answer on legal
procedures. The case was narrated by introducing the characters. The session
began with the arrival of judge. The case was announced and attorneys introduced
themselves. Witnesses of the case were brought forwarded to record the evidence.
The trial focused on chain of custody. The case concluded with the confession
of primary suspect and the sentences were announced by the judge. Overall the
event was well executed and successful with the guidance of Dr Madona Joseph,
Head of the department of Forensic
Medicine and Toxicology.
