Visit to Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Mangalore
II BHMS students visited Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Mangalore on 24th August 2023 for enhancing their experiential learning in the domain of forensic science.
The students were greeted by Dr Geetha Laxmi, Deputy Director, Regional Forensic Science Laboratory and gave a brief introduction about the lab and its various sections.
Students were demonstrated various analytical works of cases received in Toxicology, Forensic Psychology, Biology, Document examination, Chemical Sections and issue reports. The students interacted with various scientists of the lab by connecting their theoretical concepts to the practical applications in very informal environment.
The
visit was under the guidance of Dr Madona Joseph, Professor & HOD and Dr
Ameer C T, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology.
