Training session on "Basics of Animal Research"
The Research Forum of the college organized a training session on "Basics of Animal Research" on September 1, 2023 in the Father Muller Seminar Hall.
Dr Murali Badanthadka, Deputy Director, NUCARE, Division of NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Paneer, Deralakatte, Mangalore was the resource person.
The programme commenced with a brief description, followed by a prayer song. Dr Anita lobo, Professor & Coordinator of Research Forum gave a brief introduction and welcomed the speaker. Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, Principal welcomed the resource person with a floral bouquet. A memento was presented to the resource person as a token of appreciation by Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator, FMHMC&H.
The speaker emphasized on the topics namely, idea of use of animals in research, basics of preclinical research, safety practices in preclinical area and essential requirements in preclinical studies. At the end of the session there was a question answer session.
