'Aamodham' - celebration of Onam festival
'Aamodham' a celebration of Onam
festival was celebrated on 05.09.2023 at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical
College.
It is celebrated in remembrance of
the good governance under the rule of King Mahabali, a mythical king, his
Home-coming in Kerala.
"Pookalam" a flamboyant and
motley floral carpet was displayed by the students at the college entrance and
OPD premises.
As a part of the celebration, Onam
Sadya was served to all the students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
This year Megathiruvathira, a
traditional dance was performed by the Teacher's and students, which is one of
the most ancient dance forms in Kerala to grace the occasion.
Cultural programme was conducted
which enlivened the celebration with an entry of Maveli.
To create a festive ambience and add
cheer to the occasion, games and chandamela was organised in the college
premises which exhilarated the spirit of the gathering.
Mr Deron Maben, Mr Shithil Joseph and
Mr Kevin S Mathew compered the event eloquently and gracefully.
