PTSA Meeting - 2018

The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) meeting was held on the 13th, 14th & 16th of July 2018 for the I, II and III & IV BHMS respectively in the Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Auditorium, Deralakatte.

The inauguration programme began at 10:00 am every day. The resource persons for the programme were Mrs Mamatha Bhandary, Dr Rameela Shehar, and Rev. Fr Alwin Serrao.  Dr Rita Chakraborthy was the Coordinator of the PTSA meeting.

 

Mrs Mamatha Bhandary, Counsellor, Department of Psychiatry, K.S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore spoke on the theme-“Connecting with each other and facing the real world”.

Dr Rameela Shekhar, MSW, MPhil, Ph.D., PGDHRM. Professor and Dean, PG Dept, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore deliberated on “Attitude and Aptitude in Clinical Practice”.

 

Rev. Fr Alwin Serrao, Principal, Padua College of Commerce & Management, Mangalore addressed on the topic “Professionalism, Converting Knowledge into Skills”.

 

The Vice Principal, Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran deliberated on the students’ academics which was followed by a session by the Principal, Dr Shivaprasad on the overall role of College towards the students & parents. The Administrator Rev. Fr Vincent Vinod Saldanha gave his message stressing on the discipline in the campus and development of a students’ character.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Prennie Vidiera, Dr Deepa Rebello, and Dr Ranjan Britto, Chief Mentors of I, II & III BHMS on the respective days.

Lunch was served for all at the food court.

The afternoon session began at 1.30 pm where all the parents and students met the concerned staff members of the various departments to know the performance of their wards.
