FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONDUCTED ON 11TH AND 12TH OF JANUARY 2019

A faculty development program (FDP) on “Emotional Intelligence in Clinical Practice” was conducted on 11^th and 12^th of January 2019 at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte. Teaching faculties of Fr Muller Homoeopathic Medical College were organized into two groups. FDP for the first group was scheduled on 11^th and for 2^nd group on 12^th of January 2019 respectively.

The inauguration program was presided over by our Administrator Rev. Fr Vincent Saldanha, Asst Administrator Rev. Fr Sylvester Lobo, Principal Dr Shivaprasad K, Vice- Principal Dr Prabhu Kiran, the resource person of the days  Fr Alwin Serrao , Chairperson -FDP  Dr Rita Chakraborthy were graced the occasion with their presence. Dr. Jolly D’mello anchored the inaugural session.

The program began with invoking the Lord’s blessings through a prayer song Dr Rita Chakraborty welcomed the gathering & introduced the resource person. Our Administrator Rev. Fr Vincent Saldanha welcomed the resource person with a bouquet. Administrator Rev. Fr Vincent Saldana communicated the group what exactly is the purpose of organizing the FDP. The inauguration of the program was done by lighting of the lamp.

Dr. Jolly D’mello anchored the first day session and the MC for the second day was Dr Rita Chakraborty. Dr. Shalini Mandal welcomed the gathering & introduced the resource person. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Kurian on 1^st day & Dr Sreenath Rao on 2^nd day.

The session was concluded by presenting an assessment protocol of Emotional quotient and the faculty made it a point that every group member has assessed his own emotional quotient by doing the personal survey with the help of given protocol. Group members have accepted and appreciated this venture and suggested various improvements in organizing FDP in forthcoming days through their evaluation reports.
