GRADUATION CEREMONY 2019
The graduation ceremony of Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College was held on 5th April at 2.30
pm in the Father Muller Convention Centre. The programme commenced with the
grandiose procession of graduates accompanied by the band and salutation with
the guard of honour at the entrance of the Father Muller Convention Centre
Kankanady. The dignitaries were given a solemn welcome with traditional
Poornakumbha.
The Formal Programme began by invoking the blessings of the Almighty by
a melodious and meaningful prayer song by the students of Father Muller
Homoeopathic College.
Fr Richard Coelho, Director FMCI welcomed the all dignitaries mainly the
Chief guest Dr S. Sacchidanand placed his profile to the august gathering and briefed the health care services provided by
Father Muller Charitable Institutions with motto of ‘Heal and Comfort’ to the
public since 139 years. He also highlighted the services rendered by Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College to the public from the time of its inception in
the year 1985 till date. He also briefed that Father Muller Homoeopathic
Medical College is the only Homoeopathic Medical College under from Rajiv
Gandhi University of Health Sciences to be accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade.
Dr Shivaprasad K, Principal FMHMC&H presented a descriptive report
of the activities of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital
for the academic year 2018 to 2019.
It was indeed a matter of pride for the institution as 73 Under
Graduates and 27 Post Graduates of Father Muller Homeopathic Medical
College graduated on this occasion . Graduates were honoured and
certificates were conferred by the Chief Guest Dr S. Sacchidanand, Honourable
Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru.
Oath taking by the Graduands was led by Principal Dr Shivaprasad K.
Delivering the Graduation address Dr S. Sacchidanand, Honourable Vice
Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. said,
"I thank the management of Father Mullers for having me here at this
occasion and it is the proud privilege to be at FMCI as the institute has
created a brand name in health care. He appealed to the students to be ever
grateful to their parents for their hardships and also to the teachers for
leading them from darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge and to be
grateful to the patients from whom they have learnt clinical skills. He
conveyed Homoeopathic medical education is seeing a sea of changes and has
survived the test of time from the time of its origin. India has produced the
largest number of Homoeopaths. He appealed to the graduands to be knowledgable,
ethical, punctual, empathetic towards the patients. "You should have passion
to serve peopleâ€. Once you excel in your profession, name and fame will
automatically come to you.
Graduates’ response was given by Dr Wafa Zainab.
Achievers in various fields were also awarded on
the occasion. Overall subject wise 176 ranks secured by Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College students, the meritorious students include 6
BHMS rank holders in overall ranks of the university, 6 M.D (Hom) rank
holders of different specialties. Our students have bagged 6 Gold medals
in the RGUHS examinations. Among six gold medals 2 post graduate students and 4
undergraduate students were awarded the prizes.

Muller Homoeopathic Medical College instituted first time by Most Rev Dr Peter
Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese was conferred to Dr Aleena Thomas.

S. Sacchidanand, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health

FMHMC&H, and Dr Vilma D’souza Coordinator graduation ceremony were
present on the dais.
Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese and
President of Father Muller Charitable Institutions in his address said,
"Father Muller Institution has originated with the vision to serve
poor and it has been delivering the best to the poor. On each graduation day,
Father Muller reaffirms the same mantra of serving poor. I congratulate
all the graduates and ask them to be the ambassador of Father
Muller Institution by serving the poor and healing them with care and
comfort." He appealed to the graduands that with knowledge, insight and
effort, we have to become co-creators with God. Homoeopathy is bringing new
hope to the patients and it is your duty to alleviate their sufferings.

The ceremony concluded with the Recession of the dignitaries and
graduands.
Dr Reshel Noronha and Dr G Rajachandra were MC’s for the
graduation ceremony.
In the morning thanksgiving mass was offered by Most Rev Dr Peter Paul
Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese at Deralakatte chapel. Graduates and
their parents, and staff members attended the mass in large numbers. Rev Msgr
