BETI BACHAV-BETI PADAV - 2020
On the eve of International Womens
day March 12th 2020 a one day programme was organized by
the Anganavaadi and Mahila Sangha, Kotekar branch in collaboration with Department
of Community Medicine of Father
Muller Homoeopathic Medical college on BETI BACHAV-BETI PADAV in Father Muller
Homoeopathic Medical College Auditorium ". Around 250 women's of
various communities attended this programme.
In the morning at 10:30 am before the
programme, to create awareness there was WALKATHON for all women's in
front of the Father Muller College premises to KS Hegde Medical College.
The Programme started at
11am with the prayer service followed by welcome address by Mrs. Sharada
with the floral bouquet. After the welcome address there was Inauguration of
the programme by Lighting the Lamp. Rev. Fr Roshan crasta, Administrator
FMHMC, Dr. Shivaprasad K, Principal of FMHMC, Dr ESJ Prabhukiran Vice
principal of FMHMC, Dr. Sajan K R, HOD Dept of Community Medicine, Dr
Vilma Dsouza HOD Dept of OBG, Dr. Madona Joseph Medical OBG unit III
Incharge of Medical Health Camp, Mrs Sharada and Mrs Kalpana Incharge
of Anganawadi and Mahila Sangaha Kotekar branch and the Chief Guest Mrs
Bharathi Raghav were present.
Rev. Fr Roshan crasta Administrator,
FMHMC during his speech appreciated all the women's and motivated and wished
for their achievements in the society.
Dr. Shivaprasad K Principal of FMHMC
highlighted on the theme of women's day gender equality.
Mr. Rohith - Spoke regarding equality
of both genders and facilities offered by this organization by central
government Poshan Abhiyan 2019-2020
started too aware and reduce the malnutrition.
This was followed by traditional
programme held for all women who were pregnant.
There were 7 women's attended this programme and felicitation with gifting
saree, flowers and fruits were offered to them.
This was followed by honouring with
the shawl and fruits for the best anganawadi worker Mrs. Sulochana and
best helper Miss Gulabi.
After the felicitation programme
there was awareness talk. First speaker- Ms Bharthi Raghav highlighted womans
position in the society and contributions in social service. Second speaker - Dr
Vilma D'Souza, highlighted the common diseases in women and health
awareness and management. Third speaker - Dr. Anusha G- highlighted about
the corona virus, its spread, management and Prevention aspect.
At the end of the programme Mementos
were given to the resource persons.
Meanwhile the cases were registered
in the counter for Homoeopathic treatment. The outpatient department of obstetrics
& gynaecology unit III under the leadership of Dr. Madona Joseph
and the Interns and PG's attended this camp. There were around 66 patients registered
and 30% discount was given on health card for one year.
