A week long Dermatology Camp
A week long Health camp on Common Dermatological Diseases was
held at Out-patient Department of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College
Hospital from 19.06.2023 to 24.06.2023. Patients availing the facility were given
50 % concession on Homoeopathic treatment and 50% concession for specific blood
investigations (Ig E & AEC). Post Graduates gave awareness talk on common
dermatological condition treated, to the public at the OPD entrance.
The Dermatology unit doctors with Post graduates and interns were involved in the camp. 10 patients were benefited by this camp. The common
conditions treated were, Vitiligo, Taenia Corporis, Eczema, Dermatitis,
Alopecia etc.
Along with the in house camp a General check-up and screening
of the skin complaints was conducted at the following 5 schools & one
Anganvadi. A team of doctor with one
Post Graduate & 3 Intern visited each school. An awareness talk on
cleanliness of skin & common dermatological conditions was delivered at
each school.

116 students at Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose School,
Deralakatte
237 Students at
Nithyadhar English Medium High school, Permannur
182 Students at Govt Primary & High school, Babbukatte
&
20 Students at Anganvadi Kuthar were screened.
Students with skin problems were issued camp card for further
consultation at FMHMCH.
Common conditions seen among the students were Dermatitis,
Warts, Acne & Tinea corporis
