Childrens Day 2022

In view of Children's Day 2022, the Department of Paediatrics organized the Health Camps along with the Department of Community Medicine organized Free Health Check-up camps for children at the neighbouring schools and Online Competitions for children from 10th to 19th November 2022.

Health Camps :

The first medical camp was held on 10th November 2022 at Lower Primary Belma School, Deralakatte where 90 children availed the health services. Dr Reshel Noronha and Dr Ancy George were the team leaders.

The second medical camp was held on 15th November 2022 at St. Joseph's School, Paneer where 83 children availed the health services. Dr Jyoshna Shivaprasad and Dr Ancy George were the team leaders.

The third camp was held on 17th November 2022 at G.L.P School, Panjala Pilikur, Talapady where 24 children availed the health services. Dr Sajan K.R, HOD Community Medicine  was the team leader.

After the health check up, the team conducted games for the children, prizes were distributed to the winners and sweets for all children. A total of 197 children were benefitted from the free health camps.

The Department of Paediatrics also conducted a Free Health Camp on "Allergy and Undernutrition" in the Out-patient department of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital at Deralakatte from 14.11.2022 to 19.11.2022. 50% concession was given for the laboratory investigations, Spirometry, Digital Otoscopic examinations and Ghrelin salivary tests. 40% concession was given for patent products from the Father Muller Pharmaceutical division.

 

Online Competitions - Fancy dress and Let's Nacho Dance competition

The competition results were announced on 21st November 2022 on a Zoom platform at 10am.

The Fancy dress competition was held for children of 3-6years and the theme was "A Household Item". Let's Nacho Competition was for children between 7-10yrs and the music audio was given priority.


A total of 40 participants had registered, 26 for Fancy dress competition and 14 for Let's Nacho competition.


The winners for the fancy dress competitions were

First Prize - Master Ruthvik J Kotian

Second Prize - Miss Abhijna

Third Prize - Master Omkar Kamath

 

The winners for the Lets Nacho Dance competitions were

First Prize - Miss Ronisha Diya

Second Prize - Ms. Janis Ann D'souza

Third Prize - Mast. Samarth S. Acharya

 

A few consolation prizes were also given.

The winners were awarded cash prizes and participants were given an E- certificates.
