THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY HEALTH CAMP-2019
In view of international women’s day the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology organized a one week Women’s Health Awareness camp from March 4th to March 9th 2019. The inauguration of the camp was held on Monday 4th at 10.30 am in Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College OPD premises.
Mrs. Pramila DSouza, Assistant Professor & HOD, Department of OBG from Father Muller College of Nursing was the Chief Guest for the programme.
The Programme started by invoking God’s blessings through
a prayer song. Dr.

Principal, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College welcomed and introduced
the chief guest followed by the lighting of the Lamp. Rev Fr Sylvester
Lobo, Assistant Administrator FMHMC, Dr.
Shivaprasad K, Principal, FMHMC, Chief Guest Mrs. Pramila Souza, Assistant
Professor & HOD, Dr. Girish Navada, Deputy Medical Superintendent
and Dr. Vilma D Souza, HOD & Professor dept of OBG were present for
the lighting of the Lamp.
Rev. Fr. Sylvester Lobo gave message on “The importance of health & Preventive aspects of health†and congratulated women on international women’s day and highlighted the theme “Balance for better societyâ€
Mrs. Pramila Souza, Assistant Professor& HOD highlighted the Importance of health care in general as well as during pregnancy to prevent anemia and to avoid complications during pregnancy. Rev Fr Sylvester Lobo, Assistant Administrator FMHMC handed over the memento to the chief guest.
The Camp was organized for one week. Free health checkups & Medicines were given for 3 months for all the camp patients. 50% discount was given for the USG, Thyroid function test, Hormonal assay, Pap smear, screening test for cancer at kankanady hospital and 100% discount was given for Blood and urine test at deralakatte hospital.
