Session on Youth for Democracy

On December 11, 2023, the SSPC committee of Father Muller College of Nursing organized anexciting session on "Youth for Democracy' in Decennial Hall. Rev. Dr. Fr Maxim D'Souza SJ, a distinguished Assistant Professor in Political Science and Peace Studies at the St Joseph's University Bengaluru,he is also the State Advisor of AICUF, who led the session from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in three engaging slots.

The event began with a prayer led by I BSc nursing students, fostering a contemplative atmosphere. Dr. Josmitha Sr. Lavita and Ms. Ramyashree introduced Fr Maxim in three slots, setting the stage for a meaningful discussion.

Fr Maxim emphasized the crucial role of youth in democracy, stressing the importance of choosing responsible leaders and promoting a secular nation. Around 800 students of all the units of Father Muller charitable Institutions actively participated, sharing insights on political engagement and benefitted form the session.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rhea IV BSc nursing student, and Fr Maxim was honored with a certificate and token of gratitude. The event ended with the resonant notes of the institutional anthem, leaving a lasting impact on the college community.
