NOEL ESTELLA –Christmas Celebration at FMCON
The Student nurses association of
Father Muller College of Nursing organized Christmas celebration for staffs and
students on the theme “NOEL ESTELLA†on 17th December 2018 at 2 pm in the
Academy hall. The program was led under the guidance of Mrs Shiji.P.J SNA
advisor of FMCON. The program began with a prayer service, conducted by
2nd-year Bsc nursing students.
Ms Anjaly John of 4th-year B.Sc
nursing welcomed the gathering. The theme was unveiled by Sr Jacintha D’ Souza
Principal FMCON along with Mrs Victoria D’Almeida Vice Principal, SNA advisor
Mrs Shiji P.J, HOD’s of all the
departments, SNA vice president Ms Beulah Tella and programme coordinator Ms
Rony Mol Roji.
The students of Father Muller
College of Nursing showcased their talents through various performances
including Christmas carols, nativity scene and Christmas dance. Meanwhile, the
Santa surprised the crowd with his arrival along with a flash mob displayed by
the 4th year BSc student. The cake cutting ceremony was done by 4 Santa’s,
Principal, vice principal all the HOD’s, and the Sna executives. The students
of 1st-year Bsc nursing performed a Christmas skit and gave a message on true
Christmas. Ms Sonia Sequeira, Lecturer, department of community health
nursing sang carol songs and the faculty members of Fmcon surprised the
audience by performing a carol dance.
Games were conducted for all the students and for the faculty by Ms Rony and Ms Andrea D’Souza of 4th-year B.Sc nursing and brought fun to the crowd. Prizes were distributed in the end for all the winners of the games, along with Gethanjali inter-college competition held in Bendoor. Father Muller College of Nursing achieved second runner-up trophy in the crib competition. 3rd-year B.Sc nursing students bagged 1st prize, Pbbsc nursing students won the 2nd prize other groups were provided with consolation and participation prizes. Sr Jacintha D’souza Principal FMCON addressed the gathering inspired the students with a Christmas message. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Nimisha Elizabeth student of 3rd year BSc nursing. Ms Eami Joseph and Ms Ashika Thomas compered the programme . The program came to an end with the institutional anthem.
