Silent prayer against the tragic incident of Kolkata

An assembly was organized by the college under the leadership of Students' council, Prevention of Sexual harassment committee and Women's guidance and counselling committee on 17th August 2024 to show solidarity against the tragic incident involving the rape and murder of female trainee doctor at R. G. Kar Medical college in Kolkata by students, interns , PGs and staffs of FMHMC.

Dr Sushikshitha, PG scholar gave a brief report on the incident that took place in Kolkata and shared her views. Later the candles where lightened and silent prayer was rendered by Asst. Administrator, principal, students and staff.

Principal, Dr E. S. J. Prabhu Kiran addressed on the rising cases of sexual assault and the negative impact of social media on the young generation.

Asst. Administrator, Rev Fr Ashwin Crasta spoke about the importance of awareness that should be spread in the society with this regard and also how to tackle such situations wisely with courage.

The event was compered by Dr Chrisel Dsa.
