FREE SPEECH AND HEARING CAMP
The
field of speech, language pathology and audiology is dedicated to the
understanding of normal communication and hearing processes, the application of
that knowledge to the identification, treatment, and prevention of
communication disorders in children and adults. Speech, language pathologists
and audiologists provide a range of services, which includes both assessment
and management of communication disorders and also, play a major role in public
awareness and prevention of these disorders.
In honor of the “International hearing impaired week†a
two days Speech and Hearing camp was organized in Father Muller Speech and
Hearing College.
45 patients attended the
camp on the 1st day and underwent various tests. Out of which 4 cases were for speech and 41
cases for audiology. 4 hearing aid
fittings were done. On the 2nd day of the camp there were 4 Speech
cases and 44 Audiology cases, total cases 48 patients attended for the camp.
Pediatric, adult and geriatric cases benefited from the camp. Total
patients benefited – 94
