Street Play on Women's Empowerment by NSS
The NSS unit of the College and
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology observed International Women's Day on March
8, 2024.
30 NSS volunteers took part in a
street play based on the theme of Women's Empowerment, held at Thokottu Bus
stand, Ullal Taluk Hospital, Kotekar Beeri Junction, Mudipu Bus stand and
Deralakatte Bus stand.
Nearly 2000 people from various
locations witnessed the street play. Dr Deeraj Fernandes, NSS Program Officer,
Dr Kashyap Suvarna, Assistant Professor Department of Community Medicine and Dr
Raisa C, Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology were
present during the street play.
Police personnel from Ullal and
Konaje Police cooperated for the smooth flow of traffic and the event.
