Training session on "Basics of Plant Research"
The
Research Forum of the college organized a training session on "Basics of Plant Research"
on April 12th 2024 at 2 p.m in the Father Muller Seminar Hall.
Mr
Gopi Krishna, Associate Professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil,
Mangalore, was the resource person.
The
programme commenced with a brief description, followed by a prayer song by the
students. Dr Anita lobo, Professor & Coordinator of Research Forum gave a brief
introduction and welcomed the speaker. Dr Vilma M Dsouza, Vice Principal
welcomed the resource person with a floral bouquet. A memento was presented to the resource
person as a token of appreciation by Rev. Fr Ashwin Crasta, Asst. Administrator,
FMHMC&H.
The
speaker emphasized on the topics namely, use of plants in research, basic
research methodology in plant namely isolation, purification and screening of
plant constituents for therapeutic activity. At the end of the session there
was a question answer session.
The
research forum training session was attended by a total number of 95
individuals comprising staff members, post graduates and under graduate
students.
The
session concluded with vote of thanks and the Institutional Anthem.
The
session was compered by post graduate, Dr Pooja Mudhol , MD Part I.Sr batch.
