Leprosy awareness message by Dr. Rochelle Cheryl Monteiro
The Department of Dermatology along with St. Joseph Leprosy
Hospital in association with Sasakawa Health Foundation, Tokyo Japan had
arranged a public awareness message on "Leprosy" by Dr. Rochelle Cheryl
Monteiro, Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, Father Muller Medical
College, Mangalore on 25.02.2022 on RED FM 93.5. Mr. Prasanna from RED FM
93.5 interviewed Dr. Rochelle Monteiro on various aspects of Leprosy i.e the
present scenario of Leprosy in the world, how to identify signs and symptoms of
the disease, treatment modalities available, incidence and prevention of
deformities in Leprosy. They also discussed the role of Father Muller
Charitable Institutions in the control and rehabilitation of Leprosy.
