Report on Workshop on “Botulinium Toxin and Fillersâ€
The
workshop was held in Skin OPD, Father Muller Medical College Hospital. It was well attended by Interns, post graduates
and staff from department of Dermatology, Father Muller Medical College
The
session commenced with introduction
of the guest speaker by Dr. Sukumar D, Professor & HOD.
Invited Speaker Dr. Shireen Furtado,
Consultant Dermatologist, ASTER, CMI, Bangalore gave a brief overview of facial
anatomy, use of botulinium toxin and hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers for
aesthetic indications and antiaging.
This
was followed by live demonstration of use of botulinium toxin and fillers in
treatment of fine lines, dynamic wrinkles, nasolabial fold correction, cheek
augmentation by Dr. Shireen Furtado.
The
sessions were interactive and informative with active participation from the staff
and post graduates.
