SIG Female Genital Dermatoses (FGD) - CME
The Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists (IADVL) EC and Academy, SIG Female Genital Dermatoses (FGD), in collaboration with the Departments of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy and OBG, Father Muller Medical College (FMMC), Mangalore, and IADVL Karnataka State Branch, conducted a CME at Decennial Memorial Hall, FMMC, Mangalore, on 14.07.2024. The theme was "Empowering Women's Health: Navigating the Essentials of Female Genital Dermatoses."
The event began with an inaugural ceremony. Dr. Jacintha Martis, Professor and HOD, Department of Dermatology, FMMC, welcomed the gathering. The chief guest, Dr. Manjunath Shenoy, President IADVL National, provided updates on IADVL. Rev. Fr. Ajith B. Menezes, Administrator FMMC, emphasized the importance of the theme in his message.
The ceremony was also graced by Dr. Dhanashree Bhide, SIG FGD Coordinator, who highlighted the activities of SIG FGD; Dr. Antony Sylvan D'Souza, Dean FMMC; and Dr. Deepa Kanagal, Professor and HOD, Department of OBG, FMMC. Vote of thanks proposed by Dr Jyothi Jayaraman, Assistant Professor, Department of Dermatology, FMMC.
The scientific session included lectures by Dr. Jacintha Martis, Dr. Dhanashree Bhide, Dr. Deepa Kanagal, Dr. Krati Dewan, and Dr. Mamatha P. The program concluded with an interactive panel discussion on 16 common case scenarios, moderated by Dr. Gatha Upadya and panelist were Dr Shruthakirthi D Shenoi, Dr. Jacintha Martis, Dr. Joylene D Almeida, Dr. Dhanashree Bhide, Dr. Krati Dewan, Dr Mamatha P. The CME was well attended by delegates including faculty, PGs from various colleges, members of the Karavali Dermatology Society and the Obstetrics and Gynaecologists Society.
