Guest lecture on Advances in HCV Diagnosis and Management
Father Muller Medical College and
the IPAQT initiative under Clinton Health access initiative (CHAI) organized a
guest lecture on key issues in HCV diagnosis and management, “Advances in HCV Diagnosis
and Management†in the AV Hall, Knowledge Centre.
The lecture was aimed to discuss
the availability and usage of the latest WHO-endorsed tests in the diagnosis
and advances in treatment
The programme commenced by an invocation
followed by lamp lighting by the dignitaries.
Mr Rohith Chandrashekar,
Manager-Lab Operations-South India, Clinton Health Access Initiative, William J
Clinton Foundation, and Dr Anup Kumar Shetty,Associate Professor, FMMC
introduced the resource persons.
Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean, FMMC
congratulated the department for taking the initiative in organizing the guest
lecture. And said it would be very beneficial in getting a better view of the
problems encountered and also would be of immense help to the clinicians in
solving problems related to HCV diagnosis and management.
Dr Rattan Icchpujani, Senior
Microbiologist and Dr Shivaprasad B, Medical Gastroenterologist, AJ hospital,
Mangalore, were the resource persons for the programme.
