The Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony of 59^th Batch of GNM and 30^th Batch of B Sc Nursing students began with a solemn Eucharistic celebration on 16^th December 2016 at 6.15 am in St Joseph’s Chapel. It was   followed   by a programme in the Academy hall at 11am. The chief guest, Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi, Professor, Manipal College of Nursing, Rev Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Rev Sr Winnifred D’Souza, Principal, Father Muller College of Nursing, Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal, Father Muller School of Nursing, Sr Janet D’Souza, CNO, Father Muller Medical College Hospital, inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

The dignitaries lighted the lamp of the students as a part of lamp lighting followed by oath taking by the students. The chief guest addressed the budding Nightingales and their parents. Rev. Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director, FMCI delivered the presidential address in which he focused on the importance of inculcating qualities to care for patients with respect, compassion and contribute towards raising the nursing standards. Prof. Victoria D Almeida proposed the vote of thanks.
