The Departments of Paediatric Medicine & Paediatric Nursing along with  the Department of Women and Child Welfare, Bantwal organized a program on 4^th August 2018 as a part of observance of Breast Feeding week at Father Muller Hospital Thumbay, for the postnatal mothers and their family members on the theme ‘BREAST FEEDING -Foundation of Life’.

Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator of the Hospital inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. A Video on ‘Amritha Bindu’ was played, which includes all  aspects of breast feeding in order to bring awareness among postnatal mothers. The Department of Pediatric Medicine and Pediatric Nursing along with the faculty conducted a quiz for the postnatal mothers and also organized a ‘Healthy-Babies Show’ for the infants. The winners were awarded with first, second and third prize. A total of 137 beneficiaries benefitted from this programme.  Sweets were distributed to all the children and mothers.

The programme was co-ordinated by Mrs. Priya Janifer Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Father Muller College of Nursing.
