GNM COURSE INAUGURATION
The course inauguration of 59th
batch of General Nursing and Midwifery programme was held on 12th
September 2016 at 10.30 am in the Rajath Bhavan of Father Muller School of Nursing.
The inauguration programme began with a prayer song lead by 2nd year
GNM students.
Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal,
Father Muller School of Nursing escorted the dignitaries to the dais and
welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest Mrs Lenet Castelino,Assistant Sub
Inspector of Police, Internal Security Division, Pandeshwar, Rev. Fr Patrick
Rodrigues, Director, FMCI, Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal, Father Muller
School of Nursing, Mrs Nathalia Martis, the class coordinator, Mrs Sonia
Agnes D’Souza, Asst Lecturer and a Representative from the new batch lit the lamp in a symbolic way.
The Chief Guest was introduced to the gathering by Mrs Sonia Agnes
D’Souza. The Chief Guest said “Caring is the essence of Nursingâ€. She asked
the nursing students to greet patients with a smile and to respect them. Ms
Deeksha Salome shared the experience of 1st year GNM life.
Rev. Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director of Father Muller Charitable
Institutions, advised the students to take life as a challenge by following the
example of Wilma Rudolph an American Athlete and Olympic Gold Medal winner. He wished them success. He also emphasized that
the freshers should build up
spirituality and limit the use of cell phones.
Mrs Nathalia Martis, the class co-coordinator of 1st year GNM proposed the vote of thanks. Refreshments were served to the audience.
