General Health Checkup and Cancer Screening Camp
Father Muller Medical College Hospital organised a one-day General Health Checkup and Cancer Screening Camp on 15th August 2024 at St Sebastian Church Hall Bendur Mangalore in collaboration with the Health Commission, Catholic Sabha and Catholic Action League, St Sebastian Church Bendur. Departments such as General Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Paediatric, OBG,Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Surgical and Radiation Oncology, Breast Examination and Pap smear test, Blood Sugar test and Pharmacy services were made available. Dr Elroy Consultant of the Surgical Oncology department of FMMCH gave a Health Talk on Decoding cancer and cancer awarenessand Mrs Sandis Joseph Dietician of FMMCHgave a Health talk on the Diabetic diet. Four students of GNM Nursing and one from II PBBSc Nursing participated in the activities of the camp by dispensing free medicines, Blood Pressure Monitoring and assisting in ECG. Mrs Deepika N C, Assistant Professor from the Department of Community Health Nursing, Father Muller College of Nursing was the camp coordinator. A total of 177 People benefitted from the camp.
