NUTRITION DAY 2017
The faculty and 1st
PBBSc students of Father Muller College of Nursing had organized a nutrition
day on 27th May 2017 in the Nutrition Lab. Therapeutic diets,
medicinal value of various food items and different sources was prepared and
displayed by the students. The therapeutic diet preparation included diets for
postnatal mothers, peptic ulcer, coronary artery disease and children (infant,
toddler, pre-schooler). Medicinal value of fruits, Sources of Carbohydrates,
Medicinal value of spices, Sources of Proteins, Medicinal value of vegetables,
Sources of fat, Medical value of cereals, Sources of vitamins were displayed. The
evaluators for the nutrition day programme were, Prof.Rev.Sr Jacintha D’Souza,
Principal, Father Muller College of Nursing, Prof. Mrs Victoria D’Almeda, Vice
Principal, Father Muller College of Nursing, Rev.Sr Deepa Peter, Assistant Professor
& HOD Department of Nursing Foundation and Mrs Priya J. Fernandes, Lecturer,
Department of Child Health Nursing.

Deepa and Subject co-ordinator Mrs.Wilma S. Noronha gave the feed back to the
students and appreciated their team work
and beautiful presentation. The program concluded at 4.30 pm.
